Policy on Rules Of Conduct for Library Users

The library is a public place where everyone in the community is encouraged to borrow materials, access on-line databases, and the Internet, reflect, study, read and relax.  All Library users, including employees, are expected to conduct themselves in a manner which makes the Library a safe, comfortable and welcoming place for all.  Activities which are inappropriate to Library use include, but are not limited to, loud conversations, horseplay, running, shouting, or harrassment of visitor or staff.  Library users who participate in these type of activities will be requested to stop and may be asked to leave the Library should they be unwilling to cooperate.  If the staff believes it is necessary, the police may be contacted for assistance.
